IGI: CISF gets 6 bullet-resistant vehicles

The armoured vehicles will be handed over to CISF 's Quick Reaction Teams, trained to be the first responders in a crisis situation. "If ever there is a terrorist attack or any other attack for that matter, these armoured vehicles shall be rushed to the spot and will come as the first resort of defence. This will enable CISF personnel to prevent the attackers from harming people, without coming in the line of attack," the official explained.After Delhi, these vehicles might also be stationed at airports in Ahmedabad, Chennai and Mumbai, among others. The security system at IGIA has been intensified as well.A senior official said that even though the number of advanced gadgets being procured by CISF for security at the airports has been rising prominently, there is no gadget that can match the advanced technology of these bullet resistant vehicles.
