After the release of exit polls on Sunday, which gave the majority to BJP  led NDA alliance, there has been no word from Congress chief Rahul Gandhi.

While exit polls have almost created the ambience in favor of BJP coming back to power much before the actual results, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi has sent an audio message to workers saying them not to deter by exit polls and asked them to be alert until the counting is over.

"My dear sisters and brothers, don`t get disheartened by rumors and exit polls.

They are aimed at crushing your confidence and morale," she said in an audio message that was sent out to thousands of party workers.

"You have to be more cautious now.

Don`t lower your guard and be vigilant around the strong room and polling centers.

I am confident that our effort will bear fruits," Ms.

Vadra added.
