Among those present at Shantivan in New Delhi included former President Pranab Mukherjee, former Vice President Hamid Ansari, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Among others who paid their obeisance to the late leader was former Uttar Pradesh Governor and veteran Congress leader Motilal Vora.

An all-religion prayer meeting was organised at the memorial premises.

Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of India.
