Yamuna taxi project to boost tourism

New Delhi, June 26The government has decided to start Yamuna Water Taxi project to boost tourism in the national capital. The IWAI had proposed to develop the Yamuna in Delhi for the purpose of tourism in a sustainable way. Speaking at the project site, Mandaviya said the Yamuna Water Taxi project would be a new means of urban transportation. The project, covering 16 km will comprise five locations on the banks of the Yamuna, including Fatehpur Jat, Tronica City, Jagatpur, Sonia Vihar and Wazirabad. The project will be developed in two phases - Phase I: Sonia Vihar to Tronica City and Phase II: Wazirabad to Sonia Vihar and Tronica City to Fatehpur Jat..
