CISF nabs two foreign nationals with gold worth Rs 42 lakh at IGI

New Delhi: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) nabbed two foreign passengers with 1.2 kg gold converted in mobile covers for concealment worth approximately Rs 42 lakh at IGI Airport. "On physical checking of their bags, two mobile covers weighing about 1.2 kg (which were made of gold) painted with black paint from outside for concealment were found," said CISF. In another case, CISF personnel detected "Red sandalwood" weighing about 130 kg worth approximately INR-19 lakh at IGI Airport on July15. The bags were diverted for physical checking.
