Together till last breath: Couple with 71 years of celebrated love story die on same day

The love story of Georgia couples drew wide attention and touched millions of hearts when both the couples died on Friday after being together for celebrated  71 years.

Herbert Delaigle and Frances Delaigle  who spent their life living and loving each other died on Friday at just the difference of 12 hours on the same day.

Husband Herbert died at 2:20 a.m.

and his wife Frances died at 2:20 p.m on Friday.

"They really had some love story I`ve read about this kind of love, heard about it, seen it in movies but having contact and actually getting to know the individuals actually takes it to whole different lever being in the presence of the Delaigles was such a blessing it even strengthen my marriage and the love my husband and I share.", the couple’s caretaker Sharon Gibbons Brown shared on Facebook  post

Their love story was first reported by News 12 last year when the couple was celebrating 70 years of marriage.

Herbert and Frances Delaigle`s love story began in a Waynesboro Cafe when they were 16 and 22.

"I kept seeing her going in and out, in and out and I had my eyes set on her.

And then I finally got up the nerve to ask her if she would go out with me sometime." Herbert told News 12 in an interview

A year after their first date Herbert asked the most important question

"I asked her will she have me as her husband and she said, of course," Herbert said
