NGT seeks report on garbage dumping outside Jahangirpuri metro station in Delhi

New Delhi: The National Green Tribunal has taken cognisance of a news report about choking of drains and dumping of garbage outside the Jahangirpuri metro station and sought a report on the issue within a month. A bench headed by NGT Chairperson Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel formed a committee comprising the Delhi Pollution Control Committee, North Delhi Municipal Corporation and the Public Works Department. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation informed the local civic agencies including the PWD and North Delhi Municipal Corporation but with no result.
