Delhi Police asks its officers to curb misuse of IGL smart cards

New Delhi: Delhi Police has directed their officers to conduct surprise checks at CNG filling stations from where the city police vehicles are being filled. Sources told Millennium Post that proper data should be maintained by districts and units regarding issuing of IGL smart cards to drivers/vehicles. The data of refilling the CNG in Delhi Police vehicles through IGL smart cards shall be sent to provisioning and logistics (P&L) unit on the fortnightly basis for proper monitoring and cross-checking. "Supervisory officers of Motor Transport (MT) section of districts and units, randomly check records at the CNG stations as well as monitor the CCTV footage to find out misuse of IGL smart cards. Any instance noticed for misuse of IGL smart card will be viewed seriously," wrote a senior officer in the circular..
