No concrete decision after JNUSU and MHRD meet

Delhi | Tuesday | 10th December, 2019

Summary:

"After the brutal violence Delhi Police unleashed on JNU students yesterday, the MHRD had called the JNUSU for a talk today. The meeting is to continue tomorrow," said a statement from JNUSU. Meanwhile, JNUSU also said that they have always been open for dialogue with the MHRD and have put "forth categorically certain conditions for the restoration of normalcy." On the other hand, JNU Teachers' Association (JNUTA) on Tuesday gave a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind demanding the resignation of Vice-Chancellor Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar. The JNUTA once again reminds the MHRD of its abdication of responsibility which is allowing the JNU VC to continue with his reckless ways and threatening the future of students.".
