Transco develops disaster resilient infra CMD

New Delhi: "Delhi Transco Limited has developed disaster resilient infrastructure and has retrofitted existing infrastructure for resilience during the last few years and we are moving towards smart grids," said Padmini Singla – CMD of Delhi TranscoLimited. She was speaking at global symposium organised by Special Centre for Disaster Research at JNU. To deal with such situations, Delhi Transco Limited has procured Emergency Restoration System (ERS). "With the learning of this incident, Delhi Transco Limited has implemented an islanding scheme in its transmission system. In case of any major grid disturbance, it will enable the power supply of Delhi to survive by forming an island of around 2500 MW," she added..
