New Delhi: The coronavirus vaccine will be administered to all Delhi residents within three-four weeks of its availability in the national capital, Delhi minister Satyendar Jain said on Saturday.

He said the coronavirus vaccine will be administered to everyone in Delhi with the help of health facilities such as polyclinics.

Satyendar Jain said, "Whenever the vaccine is available in Delhi, within 3-4 weeks it will be administered all over the national capital with the help of our health facilities such as polyclinics." Satyendar Jain`s statement on coronavirus vaccine to Delhiites came just when PM Narendra Modi is visiting Ahmedabad in Gujarat to review coronavirus vaccine development work at the Zydus Biotech Park facility.

PM Narendra Modi will also visit Bharat Biotech in Hyderabad and Serum Institute of India in Pune to review the ongoing work on the coronavirus vaccine.

Zydus Cadila had announced that the phase-I clinical trial of its vaccine candidate ZyCoV-D was over and it has commenced phase-II clinical trials from August.

Bharat Biotech`s Covaxin is undergoing phase-3 trials.

After his hour-long visit to the facility in Hyderabad, PM Narendra Modi will proceed to Pune, where he will visit the Serum Institute of India (SII), which has partnered with global pharma giant AstraZeneca and the Oxford University for the vaccine.
