PM Modi Address The Valedictory Function of National Youth Parliament Festival

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed the valedictory function of the second National Youth Parliament Festival via video conferencing.

Three national winners of the festival will also express their views during the event, the Prime Minister`s Office (PMO) had said on Sunday, adding that Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, and Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju will also be present on the occasion.

An official statement said the festival`s objective is to hear the voice of the youth between 18 and 25 years of age, who vote and will join various careers in coming years, including public services.

State Youth Parliaments is being conducted through a virtual mode from January 1 to 5.

The finals will be held in the Central Hall of Parliament on January 11.

This is the third league of the NYPF, the first was organised in 2019 with the theme “Be the Voice of New India and Find solutions and Contribute to Policy”.

While last year the NYPF was conducted through a virtual platform with over 2.34 lakh youths as participants.
