Delhi: Complete Lockdown In Talks, If Weekend Curfew Fails To Contain Covid-19 Spread

Coronavirus continues to wreak havoc in the capital as the city recorded the highest spike in Covid-19 cases on Friday.

According to the latest data, 19,486 fresh cases of Covdi-19 were reported in the last 24 hours while141 people succumbed to the virus.

Amid allegations of shortage of beds and ICU beds for Covid-19 patients, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is constantly monitoring the situation.

CM Kejriwal has called an Urgent High-Level Review Meeting amidst the emergency situation of Covid-19 in Delhi.

In this meeting, Nodal Minister of Covid Affairs Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Satyendar Jain and the rest of the administrative staff of the state will also be involved.

It is believed that if the weekend curfew does not contain the spread of Covid-19, then complete lockdown can be imposed in Delhi soon.

Later in the day, he will hold two separate virtual meetings with all the District Magistrates of Delhi as well as the Commissioners and Mayors of the three Municipal Corporations.
