Children all over have become one of the worst-hit sections because of the paradigm shift in their lifestyle.

From flying feats to now all-round confinement.

Many things that they miss, haunts them and the time may not be the same for a longer period to come and many of them realize.

Among them those who can understand what is pandemic, their memories may transfigure and redeem all that has gone before.

Would they repeat? Nobody has an answer to that.

The realization would dawn upon many of them how their lives ( school, classes, games and the routine back home plays till the dusks, kicking the dust or splashing the rainwater in fields ) have been contained in an extraordinary and painful present called lockdown or shutdown.

Virtual Captivity

Life has shifted from a commodious one to close-door captivity.

The early crackles are no more heard, and evening frolics are lost in the curfews.

The chirping of sparrows, curlews, and the melodious notes of cuckoos usually getting lost in their morning preparations for the online classes.

Bleary-eyed, they are dragged from the beds and get ready with the network-related issues and the ones where such facilities are not there, it is left to their fate.

Mysophobia, which usually occurs when there is an extreme fear of un-cleanliness, is coupled with claustrophobia, give way for restive syndromes that speak on the children and obviously, the parents cannot keep themselves isolated from the environ of unease.

Fatigue Of Monotonies

The monotony, that is triggered by the lockdowns, forces each children to one or the other boredom of, like settings in the houses and they have no other way than fixing their gaze on certain objects, for example a lamp or a photograph or a pendulum clock, like living sentinels in houses where normal life seem far off.

On top of that, the usual class works or home works claim a bigger chunk of their engagements.

Or at best the usual distraction by watching cartoons in televisions is a comforting break.

Games are an indispensable factor for every child’s mental nourishment and the restrictions on movement have impacted a lot on their psyche.

Depression born out of enclosure living is also irritates them but ultimately the parents convince them of an old precaution which consists of closing the rooms and shutting the windows during the lethargy of summer to keep away the burning heat from the streets.

However, the nights are better as they enjoy the evening breeze to wash the days’ fatigue when all the doors and windows are thrown open.

In nutshell, the problem is common with kids, adolescents and others as well.
