Redevelopment of Laxmibai Nagar Market will be taken up first on a pilot basis in the first phase.Traders at Laxmibai Nagar say they already attract a very measly customer base and a mall will further affect their trade. The 70 odd shops at this market yield a revenue of at least Rs.1.5 lakh in the form of rent for the NDMC every month. A request for proposal is still being drawn up by NDMC for these 50-year-old markets..
