Summary:

The prosecution, who is also unaware of the FSL report, prayed that the court should summon the IO first, find out the FSL deposit and report and then finally summon the FSL report. A city court has rapped the investigating officer and the Station House officer for their ‘lackadaisical conduct’ after they failed to provide the Forensic Scientific Lab (FSL) report of the victim’s mobile phone. The court said that the chargesheet had no mention of the mobile phone of the accused being sent to the FSL, Rohini for examination. The judge, while summoning the Investigation Officer (IO) and SHO of Chanakyapuri, sought the status of the FSL examination, if any conducted, of mobile phone of the accused. The court also expressed its displeasure on his non-action of the prosecution to even ask the IO about the status of the said FSL report or the deposit of the mobile phone with the FSL..
