India creates a world record and completes Supersonic Cruise Missile Triad by successfully testing #BRAHMOS #ALCM from Indian Air Force Sukhoi-30MKI fighter aircraft.

The missile, weighing 2.4-tonne instead of the original 2.9-tonne, was tested from a twin-engine Sukhoi fighter over the Bay of Bengal. This means that BrahMos together with the Su-30 MKI would give India an edge over Pakistan.

BrahMos Aerospace, the joint venture between India and Russia, plans to conduct two tests from the Su-30 MKI.

BrahMos is named after the rivers Moscow and Brahmaputra; the world`s only supersonic cruise missile was built as an India-Russia collaboration.
