Faridabad 2031 master plan gets go-ahead

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana government on Monday approved the master plan for Faridabad for 2031. "The state government is committed to ensure systematic development of rural areas and providing all facilities to the people at par with urban areas," he said. "The aim of the government is to undertake development in the deprived areas ," he said. The state-level committee of the town and country planning department, which met under the chairmanship of chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar , finalized the draft development plan for a population of 38 lakh till 2031.The CM directed the officers to construct high-rise buildings as it would provide more open spaces to people. He directed the officers to maintain the green belt or open spaces as earmarked in the development plan.On the matter of development of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) sectors, the CM said the authority should make efforts to develop sectors preferably in those areas where residential facilities were not being provided by any private developer ..
