GHAZIABAD: A gang of five mobile snatchers was arrested from Sahibabad on Wednesday and 18 stolen mobile phones have been recovered from them.The owners of five recovered mobile phones have been traced to Sahibabad where FIRs for thefts had been filed by them earlier this year. “The accused had a simple modus operandi of snatching mobile phones and chains from pedestrians while speeding on bikes. The arrested people told police that they sold these chains between Rs 5,000 and Rs 6,000 each.The arrested have been identified as Moin, Saif, Salman, Chand and Farmaan. Police said the five men, who are in their early-20s, had also snatched a couple of gold chains from women in the same area recently.
