U-turn at Raj Nagar Extension likely to open on August 28

The short stretch branching off from Raj Nagar Extension Road towards the traffic signal will be permanently closed. Officials had realised that vehicles coming from Raj Nagar Extension side on to the elevated road will run directly run into those coming from GT Road. The U-turn will allow traffic coming from Raj Nagar Extension to merge with that coming from GT Road, causing one-way movement of vehicles at the entrance of the elevated road.“The traffic signal will be permanently done away with. A joint meeting with the traffic police has been scheduled to work out modalities for blocking vehicles through the traffic signal and diverting them through the U-turn.
