GHAZIABAD: Nearly 1,138 autorickshaws and 28 private buses plying illegally were seized during a four-hour-long drive in the district on Monday. The drive, code-named ‘Operation Chakravyuh,’ was undertaken in Ghaziabad from 10 am to 2 pm.The maximum number of illegal autorickshaws were seized from Trans-Hindon. Many minors were also found driving autos,” SSP Vaibhav Krishna told TOI.According to the police, most private buses seized had contractual permits from the road transport authority to ply between any two stations.
