GHAZIABAD: A 23-year-old rickshaw puller died after being hit by a truck in Kavi Nagar area early on Friday morning. Police said the accident took place around 3am on Hapur road near district collectorate’s office when he was crossing the road. The vehicle bears the registration number of Rampur district Dhirendra’s uncle Ramprakash Singh said they were informed about his death around 7.30am. The truck carrying paper rolls also overturned on the road while trying to save the victim.The rickshaw puller has been identified as Dhirendra Singh, a resident of Razapur.Dhirendra was rushed to a nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead.The truck driver, Sher Singh, has been arrested and booked under sections 304A (causing death by negligence), 279 (rash driving), 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 338 (causing grievous hurt by act of endangering life) of IPC..
