Nomadic robbers’ gang busted in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: The crime branch on Thursday busted an interstate gang of robbers, allegedly involved in several thefts and robberies on the outskirts of Ghaziabad , Haryana and Delhi. The gang used to set up tents along the roadside, and shift base frequently to avoid suspicion, cops said.On Thursday, police got a tip-off that the gang members were staying in a tent set up near Rawali road. Four members of the gang were arrested.The accused have been identified as Akbar, a resident of Masuri, and Yusuf, Samshu, and Gunga, all residents of Meerut. They chose people from the lower strata of society, as they believed that victims from this category seldom come forward to report cases with police.” Two of their accomplices, Naushad and Mehboob, are absconding..
