St.

Josehph’s Hospital in Nandgram was among the few that could not administer vaccines to recipients in the absence of doses.

Officials there said they had gone to the chief medical officer’s office to ask for vials, but to no avail.

Over the past few days, there have been reports of people being turned away from both private and government vaccine centres.

The worst-affected are the health centres in rural areas, which are being reportedly given three vials of 10 doses each.
