'Salesman looted at gunpoint by bike borne assailants'

GHAZIABAD: A salesman of a private company was looted of Rs 76,000 and two mobile phones by three bike borne assailants at gunpoint near A.K.G College on Delhi-Hapur road here on Saturday.The victim works for India Finance , a private company and has his office in Niti Khand, Indirapuram. "The incident was witnessed by a few passerbys who helped the victim calm down and gave him a phone to inform his relatives and call the police. He was not assaulted or hurt in anyway," added a police official.However, an F.I.R under the relevant sections of IPC has been filed in Masuri Police Station against the unidentified miscreants and further investigation is on. The victim originally hails from Vivekanad Nagar, Ghaziabad.The victim, identified as Nitish Kumar Sinha (30), was travelling from Dasna towards Ghaziabad after collecting funds from the Dasna market, when he was overtaken by the accused who threatened to shoot him and snatched the bag full of money along with his two mobile phones. "The victim told us that he was being followed for a long time before he was cornered by the accused who were all wearing helmets and were driving a Hero Honda Passion Pro bike," said Satish Puri , an official of Dasna Police Chowki said.The miscreant's bike also lacked a licence plate, added the police officials.The miscreants after looting the victim fled away towards Dasna after firing a couple of gunshots in air..
