Panaji: The high court of Bombay at Goa on Wednesday directed the secretaries of the North and South Goa district legal service authority to submit their report on the factual position relating to garbage in various panchayats and municipalities across the state.Setting a deadline of three weeks to submit the report, the division bench of justices Nitin Jamdar and Nutan Sardessai also reminded the government that it had enough powers to act against panchayats and municipalities who are defaulting.A division bench made the observation in a contempt petition filed by advocate Aires Rodrigues over the inaction of the authorities on the continued dumping of debris and garbage along the Panaji-Old Goa bypass..
