Haryana Vision Zero? Ambala sees 30 cases of road deaths in 30 days

AMBALA: Despite several attempts in curbing road accidents under Haryana Vision Zero (HVZ) programme, the district has failed to get any respite from road deaths. I have directed them to keep a check on reflectors, white lines, road safety signs and zebra crossings. Data provided by Ambala police has revealed that the district witnessed 30 cases of deaths triggered by road accidents in the last 30 days.While expressing his concern over the number of road deaths, deputy commissioner Sharandeep Kaur Brar said, “We are conducting regular meetings with various officials concerned. With the help of administration, we will be installing steel railings, reflectors and caution signs and deploying traffic cops to make the areas safe.
