AMBALA: Junior minister for jails Krishan Lal Panwar on Thursday said that no special treatment was being given to Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and his ‘adopted daughter’ Honeypreet inside prisons. Panwar added there are other cases pending against Ram Rahim at the court, therefore it is the responsibility of the Jail Department to keep the inmate secure inside the jail premises. Panwar said the security at Rohtak’s Sunaria Jail had been tightened and nobody could enter the jail premises without proper checking and even if jail superintendent had to meet Gurmeet, he too was frisked. Panwar added Ram Rahim is also kept as other inmates, though because of his huge number of following, the Sunaria Jail officials have been ordered to take some cautionary measures while dealing with Ram Rahim, for security purposes.Nobody even from jail officials can go near Ram Rahim without passing through a security check inside the Sunaria jail. The minister listened to the problems and complaints of the general public and addressed the same to the concerned officials.When asked about the rape convict godman getting special treatment in the jail premises, Panwar added that there are no such facilities for providing any special treatment to a convict inside the state jail premises..
