Endangered bird sighted in Gurugram

GURUGRAM: Birders spotted a Lesser Florican , an endangered agro-grassland bird, in Gurgaon on Saturday.For Satyajit Ganguly, Vishal Monakar and Sudhir, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The male bird jumps up to 15 feet while calling. We never expected to see a Lesser Florican.” Birders said the species might be breeding in the area, which would be a record.
