Vigilance bureau sitting on 500 inquiries since 2015

CHANDIGARH: There are 505 complaints of corruption, disproportionate assets and other such crimes pending with the Haryana State Vigilance Bureau since 2015. Of these, 291 are registered inquiries, 162 registered cases and 62 preliminary inquiries pending with the bureau across the state.With 113 cases pending, Hisar range of the bureau tops the chart in the state. Similarly, a vigilance probe is pending against an officer in Sirsa who has been promoted and is about to retire.Earlier this month, vigilance bureau director general P R Deo had directed the concerned investigating officers and supervisory officers to complete the probes.
