Congress MLA files police complaint against Abhay Chautala

CHANDIGARH: Palwal MLA and senior Congress leader Karan Singh Dalal on Wednesday lodged a complaint against leader of opposition Abhay Singh Chautala of the INLD with the Chandigarh Police, alleging criminal intimidation by him. The way Abhay threatened me on Tuesday, I will approach the CBI court. In his complaint to the police, Dalal alleged that Abhay had threatened him both outside and inside Haryana assembly premises.The development comes a day after the two leaders had a heated argument when Abhay announced to support the motion to suspend Dalal. The Haryana speaker on Tuesday had placed Dalal under suspension for one year and barred him from attending proceedings of the house.Chandigarh’s Sector 3 station house officer (SHO) Poonam Dilwari confirmed receiving the complaint. Besides this, I shall also write to BSP supremo Mayawati how Chautala took a stand for the government when he raised the issue of ration cards for poor in the assembly,” he added.In his complaint, Dalal had also accused a Haryana minister of prompting Abhay after session resumed sitting following the heated arguments..
