Haryana: Newlywed alleges gang rape by brothers-in-law, occultists

YAMUNANAGAR: A newlywed woman has accused her brothers-in-law and some occultists of gang raping her several times for three days and registered a case with the Yamunanagar women police station regarding the same.The woman alleged that the occultists were called by her in-laws' family members for worship and her mental condition's treatment. As per the complainant, she got married on September 12 and was allegedly raped by many persons for three days. The matter is complex and we are trying to analyse various aspects of the crime and no arrests have been made yet. She further alleged that she was given some intoxicant on the first night and was gang raped by many persons.Investigation officer, lady inspector Sheelawanti said, “We have registered a case against the accused brothers-in-law, husband, parents-in-law and some others under section 376D ( gang rape ) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code .
