CHANDIGARH: The Haryana director of census operations Prerna Puri organised ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ campaign from September 15 to October 2, marking the beginning of Swachhta fortnight, during which she administered an oath of cleanliness to all members of her staff.A host of activities was organised by the directorate during the fortnight. A tree plantation programme was also organised.Various competitions on the theme of ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ were also conducted among the staff. The employees of the directorate also participated in shramdaan (volunteer labour) to clean the office premises. A Swachta awareness rally in and around Sector 19, Chandigarh, was held to make people aware of the importance of cleanliness.
