MLAs skip Haryana Congress executive meet in Jind

JIND: Not even a single party MLA attended the state-level meeting called by Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee ( HPCC ) president Ashok Tanwar in Jind on Friday. Tanwar confirmed that he had called party office-bearers for the executive committee meeting but no one attended it.In the meeting, Tanwar said a door-to-door ‘Lok Sampark Abhiyan’ would be launched in Haryana on October 9. He said special focus would be on membership drive to enrol youths in the 18-21 years’ age group in the party. Tanwar said the main points of the campaign include distribution of publicity material prepared by the Congress on various issues being faced by the country. Keeping in mind the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the campaign along with fund collection would continue till November 19 — birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.He said the campaign would be launched at all district headquarters..
