Ambala: Pharmacist duped of Rs 2.70 crore, 5 booked

AMBALA: On the complaint of an Ambala-based pharmacist, the district police have registered a case of cheating and criminal breach of trust against five persons.Complainant Devinder Kumar Marwah, who is a resident Vivek Vihar, was promised a partnership deal and since the year 2014, the complainant had given nearly Rs 2.70 crore to the accused following the partnership deed. The documents submitted by the accused while preparing the partnership deed were found to be forged.The police have registered a case against TC Kansal, his wife Sunita Kansal, son Sachin Kansal residents of Model Town, Lalit Gupta and his wife Monu Gupta, residents Sector 1 under section 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust) and 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) of Indian Penal Code at Baldev Nagar police station.Station house officer Jaswant Singh said, “We have started the investigation into the matter, at the moment the accused are at large and they will be arrested soon.”.
