As of now, I do not have any information of any such hunting incident in the area but I will look into the matter. AMBALA: Following up the cases of hunting incidents in the district, there have been four such cases where in residents have accidentally been shot by the hunters. There are separate sections of law under which accused can be booked for hunting any animal in forest area and the crime is a non-bailable offence. "As per the sources, in the last two years, there have been four such cases when the residents have accidentally received bullet injuries by hunters.Nearly two years ago one labourer while working in sugarcane fields in Lakhnaura village , received bullet injuries after being shot by the hunters while they were waiting for prey. Both the women were referred to PGI, Chandigarh and a case was registered by the police.There are many such incidents where wild animals are being hunted in the district by the illegal hunters as the forest official has clearly stated that hunting is not allowed in the area and no one can hire any such hunters to even protect their crops..
