Parents said private schools often introduced different heads in the fee structure that were unheard of until recently.As a result, schools were asked to make their fee structure public with the Fee and Fund Regulatory Committee. There are 5,000 private schools in the state, and 4,562 have not submitted their Form 6 , which contains details of the fee structure and other relevant information. It contains details about students, strength of staff, income, expenditure, fee structure or plans to revise it and other facilities provided by the school. If schools increase their fee beyond the prescribed limit set by the district education department, the committee can take suitable action.
