GURUGRAM: A student of Management Development Institute (MDI) jumped to his death from the seventh-floor balcony of his college hostel on Saturday, police said. A final-year student of the postgraduate management programme, he was allegedly suffering from depression.Junaid Taj, a resident of Vasant Vihar in Delhi, joined MDI in 2017 for the three-year programme and was living in the hostel. “He jumped to his death around 7am and was found in a pool of blood by security guards of the college,” said inspector Vinod, the SHO of Sector 18 police station.The college management informed police about the suicide. Junaid’s body was sent to the mortuary. We have recorded the statements of his friends and parents,” said the SHO, adding that it seemed to be a case of suicide and they do not suspect any foul play..
