Two held for kidnapping, raping Class XI minor girl in a village of Shahbad

KURUKSHETRA: The district police have arrested two accused of allegedly kidnapping and raping a 16-year-old Class XI girl in a village of Shahbad. We are interrogating the sequences of the crime and further proceedings are ongoing as per law.”The survivor girl and the accused belong to the same village. Their one-day police remand has completed and we have them under our custody for one more day. As per the complaint of the survivor girl, she was abducted by three accused and one of them raped her near a Dharamshala in a village of Shahbad while two others also attempted to rape her.In her complaint to the police, the girl alleged that she was abducted by three accused on January 17, and one of the accused raped her near a Dharamshala in a village of Shahbad.Following the complaint, the district police booked three identified accused under section 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention and 365 (kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine person) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 6 (punishment for aggravated penetrative sexual assault) of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and started the investigation.Shahbad station house officer inspector Nayab Singh said, “We arrested two identified accused late in the night on Friday, they were presented before the court on Saturday which sent them on two-day police remand..
