Cash-for-job scam: Haryana to monitor investigation at ‘highest level’

A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act, cheating and forgery and other offences were registered in Panchkula and other places. Allegations against the petitioner were that he used to contact those desirous of getting government jobs through HSSC and collect money from them. Hearing the Haryana government’s pleas, Justice Tewari has now disposed of the case.The matter had reached the HC in the wake of a bail petition filed by Vijay Kumar, an accused from Jind district allegedly involved in the scam. The amount was paid by him to co-accused Suresh Kumar, who used to further pay Dinesh. The latter claimed to have contacts with some people in HSSC..
