YAMUNANAGAR: A murder accused was allegedly shot at near Bank Colony in Yamunanagar on Sunday, Police said.Police said that four criminals attacked Deepak Kumar who was out on a 15-day bail.In his complaint to the police, Deepak's father Yashpal Singh said four persons opened fire at him while he was heading towards home.“First they thrashed him and later fired bullets at his legs. They thrashed my wife as well and took my son away from the spot and fired three bullets at him,” he added.He further said some passersby rushed Deepak to a private hospital where he is stated to be out of danger.“We have identified four accused, who run a liquor shop and they had an old rivalry with Deepak. The case seems to be of a gang war,” said, DSP headquarter Subhash Chand.Chand further stated that the police have registered a case under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt, 148-A (rioting, armed with deadly weapon) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Arms Act against four persons, whose identity is yet to be confirmed..
