Prabir Sahu and his wife Gauri (34), both from West Bengal, were living as tenants in Behrampur village for the past few years, according to Gurugram police.Prabir used to clean cars and his wife worked as a domestic help.
They got married around 14 years ago after the death of Gauri’s first husband .
Her two children from the previous marriage live in West Bengal.
Around 6.45am on Tuesday, Prabir returned home after finishing work.He was in an inebriated state and an argument broke out between the couple.
Prabir obtained a kitchen knife and stabbed Gauri four to five times on her shoulder, stomach, hands and face.Gauri, however, managed to free herself from his clutches and ran outside the house.
Following this, Prabir locked himself inside the room.
