First Public Vaccination camp at a Corporate site in Gurgaon

Earlier this week, Gurgaon saw its first-ever public vaccination camp at a corporate site as the Haryana state health department partnered with e-commerce firm Park and Candor TechSpace to organise a drive-through vaccination camp in Sector 48.

The camp was organised at the Sector 48 office of Candor TechSpace and it offered 250 doses of Covaxin to citizens over the age of 45.

The camp, unlike others before it, did not require pre-registration for a slot and saw several walk-ins, or rather drive-ins.

The Park+ app allowed citizens to check real-time availability of vaccination slots.

Talking about the initiative, Dr Virender Yadav, CMO Gurugram, says, "Over the last two weeks, our staff has successfully fully been able to help 45+ aged citizens to get vaccinated from the safety of their vehicles.

For drive-through vax camps, Gurugram Health Department has tied up with Park+ to manage the execution, technology and communication for these camps.

With support from both central and state governments and private players like Park+, we hope to continue serving the residents of Gurgaon with more such camps."

This wasn`t Gurgaon`s first tryst with drive-through camps for COVID vaccination.

Over the last few weeks, the city has seen several such camps.

These have proved to be popular among residents as well, who feel it is safer to get vaccinated in the safety of one`s car rather than visit a hospital right now.
