State-level officials to probe Fortis over-billing

GURGAON: The district-level probe panel that was formed to investigate alleged overbilling case by Fortis in case of 7-year-old Adya Singh has been scrapped. Following this, the three-member team constituted by the chief medical officer (CMO) Gurgaon to look into the case was scrapped. In its place, a high-level committee consisting of state-level officials will conduct an inquiry in the matter. We need to find out if the treatment was correct, and if the hospital has overcharged the patient's family," said BK Rajora, Civil Hospital CMO. Now, additional director general ( ADG ) health Rajeev Vadhera, director of health services Dr Aditya Choudhry, CMO Gurgaon Dr B K Rajora, and CEO Gurgaon district council Chinar Chahal will probe the case..
