GURUGRAM: Police commissioner Sandeep Khirwar on Wednesday ordered a special inquiry into the alleged third-degree torture of a youth by eight city policemen.ACP (city) Rajeev Yadav is conducting the inquiry and will be submitting report soon, sources said. "We have ordered a special inquiry into the matter and strict action will be taken against the policemen if they are found guilty," police commissioner Sandeep Khirwar said. Prashant (26), resident of Sector 29, alleged that around eight policemen of the City police station close to the Sadar Bazaar detained him illegally on Saturday night and resorted to third degree torture, leaving him grievously injured.The policemen also purportedly hurled verbal abuses at the youth's mother Devi Ratna, when she went to the police station to enquire why he had been detained..
