GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today met the heads of prominent schools of Dibrugarh and asked them to create an environment in schools where students can gain knowledge and imbibe moral values , an official release said here.Sonowal also made some suggestions to improve the academic environment of the schools and urged the teachers to observe the actions and behaviours of the students for suitable intervention to groom their personality.He said the heads of the educational institutions should strive hard to promote quality education in their respective schools.Stating that classroom teaching is inadequate to develop students as good human beings, he emphasised on orienting them with moral values to dispel superstition and negativity.The chief minister further suggested sports activities for two hours every day in schools to encourage students to take up sports as an integral part of their lives.He also stressed on maintaining cleanliness in schools..
