GUWAHATI: The traffic police department has imposed several restrictions on all kinds of vehicles in the city for the convenience of Durga Puja pandal hoppers. Deputy commissioner of police (traffic) Amanjeet Kaur said, "Parking of vehicles will not be allowed up to 500 metres from the Puja pandals. Roadside parking shall be strictly prohibited on MG Road, B Baruah Road, GNB Road, Tayabullah Road and on the stretch of GS Road from Lachitnagar Point to Janata Hotel Point. "Parking on the side of the road will be allowed in other areas if it does not hamper traffic. All vehicles from Kamakhya railway station and Gotanagar area shall be allowed to move through Railway Gate No 3 and railway headquarters.".
