Summary:

Aalo: Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu on Saturday said BJP will accomplish its target of ‘60+2’ seats in the state which is going to witness simultaneous assembly and parliamentary elections on April 11.“We have a target of winning all the seats (60 assembly and 2 LS seats) in the state. The three nominees are Kento Jini (Aalo East) Taba Tedir (Yachuli) and Phurpa Tsering (Dirang).Claiming that BJP has weakened Congress’s base in Arunachal, Khandu said, “Congress, which had ruled the state for several decades, fielded candidates only in 46 assembly seats only this time as it could not find strong and suitable nominees.” He added, “BJP is all set to form the next government in the state. “The NDA government under PM Modi has realised the potential and strategic importance of the state and fast-tracked several important projects, including Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) and Greenfield Airport at Hollongi,” the chief minister added. Overwhelmed with the development trajectory initiated by the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre and the state government, the voters will help us accomplish this target,” added Khandu, while addressing an election rally here in the presence of PM Narendra Modi.BJP has already opened its account in the state with three candidates being declared elected unopposed in the 60-member assembly. On May 23, a new sun will rise in the state heralding a new dawn of development to be headed by a government which will continue its crusade against corruption.”Pointing out that Arunachal got its due importance only after the NDA came to power in 2014, Khandu said central ministers have visited the state to oversee ongoing projects for a record 130 times in the past five years..
