STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: The Bharalumukh Police on Thursday arrested the Chandal of Bhootnath crematorium Bhagirath Sarkar (19) and his accomplish Naba Das (24) on charges of pushing one Ashim Barua (23) into the Brahmaputra River that resulted in his drowning. Barua who originally hailed from Nazir Ali in Jorhat, was working in the city's Rituraj Hotel for the last one month. According to the police Barua came out from the hotel at 12.30 am on July 9 and made his way to Bhootnath crematorium. During the investigation the police arrested Bhagirath and Naba who confessed of pushing Ashim to the water of Brahmaputra at Bhootnath after a confrontation.
