Staff ReporterGUWAHATI: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has expressed his optimism that with its modernized infrastructure the newly-constructed Basistha Police Station will be able to provide more people-friendly services. Opening the new look police station here on Saturday, Sonowal said only infrastructure development would not suffice to improve the overall quality of policing. Under MOITRI scheme, Dispur has taken up initiatives to reconstruct buildings of police stations and develop infrastructure with improved public amenities. It was attended by Media Adviser to the Chief Minister Hrishikesh Goswami, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Kumar Sanjay Krishna, among others.
